Semi-Finals 2010 update!

1st Round: Glencliff 3 - Antioch 1
Antioch came out swinging in the first half of the game on Monday night making the score 1-0 at the half. But the resilient Colts boosted themselves up to score 3 in the second half and shut down Antioch for the remainder of the game. Glencliff Advances to the Semifinals to play Overton on Tuesday.

2nd Round: Glencliff 0 - Overton 4
It was a heartbreaking loss that ended the Colts season last night. Glencliff played a hard game against #2 seed Overton, but just didn't have what it took to get the job done. After being down 1-0 at half time, much like Monday night against Antioch, the Colts thought they could surely rally back for the victory, however the Bobcats jumped out in the first 16 minutes of the 2nd half to score 3 more goals and secure the win 4-0. None of the goals were made because of mistakes or problems from the defense, it was just one unfortunate lucky goal after another. The cards simply were not in our favor and Overton deserved the win.

A new year with a new team and new hopes for the season won't come around soon enough for some of us here at the 'Cliff. But for now it was an absolute pleasure coaching this team of exceptional athletes and kids and I am honored to be able to reflect on this season and look forward to bettering ourselves next season.
